Gain an insider perspective of a microinsurance champion
You spend two weeks in Kenya, where you will visit several innovative microinsurers:
- Work with the staff of APA Insurance, visit their clients and distribution partners
- Gain a deep understanding of the profitable business model of Britam
- Design and pitch a microinsurance solution using the principles, frameworks and tools from the workshops.

Accelerator phase 2: three months of mentoring
April to June 2025
Accelerate your business with guidance from industry leaders
The important second step of the accelerator are eight online mentoring sessions in the three months after the immersion.
- During the immersion, you will draft a workplan with a view to kickstarting it in the weeks thereafter, with the support of renowned microinsurance experts.
- You will be assigned the expert that best suits the needs of your organisation. You can also apply for extended guidance with onsite visits.

Pioneer Insruance and their partners we will visit during our immersion in the Philippines have a ton of lessons to share from their microinsurance journey – good and bad.
We will spend time with their leaders and staff and visit branches and clients to gain a deep understanding of the pros and cons of their business models.

When does it start?
Microinsurance Master runs once a year.
The 2025 edition will start in March 2025. The programme will start with a two-week immersion in Kenya, followed by eight mentoring sessions in the three months thereafter.
What is the investment to join?
The investment to join the accelerator is 11,950 US Dollar.

Join with a tailored payment plan
For organisations that cannot pay the full investment upfront, we can agree on a payment plan:
- Payment in two instalments of 2,500 US Dollar prior to the start of the programme
- Outstanding balance due before the end of the mentoring period
